Graduate Program Instructions

Before you can advance further after you have earned your Bachelor's degree, you must first be accepted into our graduate program. Please follow the instructions below.

As you consider taking the next step in your academic journey, we invite you to reflect on the motivations and aspirations that drive you to pursue a graduate degree from our institution. In a 2000-word essay, we ask that you thoughtfully articulate your reason for seeking an advanced degree. How will it help you contribute to the growth of those around you in Christ? How will it help you grow in Christ? As you write, remember that "the eye is the lamp of the body" (Matthew 22:22-24) and we encourage you to shine a light on your inner motivations and desires, revealing a clear and compelling vision for your future.

Upon acceptance, you will receive notification via email, and subsequently, you will be able to commence with your Master's program, with the potential to further advance to a Doctoral degree. Recognizing that these courses merely lay the foundation for your academic pursuits is essential. We encourage you to engage in independent research, exploring topics in greater depth, particularly when they are only briefly touched upon in class. In this digital age, you have unparalleled access to a vast array of resources, enabling you to delve deeper into the study of God and His Word. We urge you to leverage the internet to its fullest potential, supplementing your coursework with extensive research and self-directed learning.

We recognize the importance of practical ministry experience, and as such, we require fulfillment of a minimum 6-month internship for both the Master's and Doctoral degrees at a local church or Christian non-profit organization, where you will be able to apply the theological principles learned in the classroom to real-world ministry contexts. This internship will provide you with opportunities to develop your skills, discern your calling, and demonstrate your commitment to serving the Lord and his people. More information can be found in your student handbook.
