About

Wisdom School of Christian Theology is an extension of the Christian Church, specifically Wisdom Church of God. We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21). As such, we are committed to following biblical teaching to the best of our ability in all areas of life, ensuring that our academic programs reflect God’s truth and authority.

We offer a well-rounded theological education without the high costs associated with traditional academic institutions, making biblical and theological training accessible to a wider range of students. A key advantage of our system is the integration of biblical truth within academic disciplines, allowing students to examine established subjects through the framework of Scripture and Christian values. Our approach fosters a comprehensive education that unites spiritual, intellectual, and ethical development, equipping students for both ministry and everyday life.

Why Wisdom School Rejects Certain Forms of Form, Source, and Textual Criticism

At Wisdom School of Christian Theology, we fully affirm that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and faithfully preserved Word of God. While we understand that many modern scholars use approaches like form criticism, source criticism, and textual criticism in their study of Scripture, we also recognize that these methods often rest on assumptions that undermine the Bible’s divine origin and trustworthiness.

Our goal is to equip students to understand these critical methods, not to accept them, but to see where they fall short and to stand firmly on the truth of God’s Word.

Form Criticism
This method tries to trace biblical stories back to oral traditions, treating the Gospels as evolving tales passed down by early Christian communities. We reject this because it ignores the eyewitness testimony that the Bible itself claims. The Gospel writers were either eyewitnesses or worked closely with eyewitnesses. The Bible is not folklore; it is true history inspired by God.

Source Criticism
Some scholars argue that the Gospel writers copied from lost written sources, like the hypothetical “Q document.” We reject this because it assumes human compilation over divine inspiration. The Bible is a unified, Spirit-led revelation, not a patchwork of anonymous texts.

Textual Criticism
While textual criticism can be helpful for studying manuscripts, we reject modern tendencies to favor corrupted Alexandrian texts or to assume shorter readings are more original. God has promised to preserve His Word, and we trust in the faithful transmission through the centuries.

In Summary
Many of these critical methods grew from scholars who don’t fully trust the Bible’s divine authority. They explain Scripture by human reasoning rather than faith. At Wisdom School, we reject these assumptions and affirm the Bible’s clear testimony: it is the true, inspired, and perfectly preserved Word of God.
